New Resolution

As a blogger, I officially announce that I should, I must and I would have a good camera in hand.

Start from 2010 May, my resolutions ( I didnt have one in Jan so why not now?) would be 

  • Getting a new good+high resolution+cheap+preferably with lens camera
  • Getting an eye primer from Urban Decay ( nothing to do with blogging but still I want it)
  • To venture out eating at different places more often around SG
  • To plan for oversea short trips every now and then to new places and try out their local food.

10 Singapore Food that you dont want to miss.

I like it cuz it  has the details address of the shops which claimed to be the best.

My target is to complete the recommended 10 places within 4 months from now.

U have to understand that there might not be any fancy fusion food in the list. All are pretty much available in every hawker center. Lets see their list of best stores for each product..

1. Chicken Rice
    Nothing new.. Its only chicken rice but once in a while we always want to eat it , right??

 2. Char Kway Teow
     One of the island’s best char kway teow is at a humble hawker center in the east. Hill Street Fried Kway Teow at Block 16, Bedok South Road, #01-187. tel +65 9042 131

3. Wanton Mee
Hong Mao Wonton Mee but note they open early and close early (7am to 4pm, closed Mondays) and there is at least a half-hour wait. 128 Tembeling Road.

 4. Carrot Cake
Look for old stalwart Heng Carrot Cake at Stall 28, Newton Food Centre, Newton Circus Road. 

5. Chili Crab
Roland Restaurant claims to be the creator of the dish. They are at Block 89 Marine Parade Central #06-750, tel +65 6440 8205.

6. Bak Kut Teh (Pork Rib Soup)
 try Ng Ah Sio Pork Ribs Eating House at 208 Rangoon Road, tel +65 6291 4537. For the Hokkien version, try Sin Heng Claypot Bak Kut Teh at 439 Joo Chiat Road, tel +65 6345 8754.


7.Sambal Stingray
Leng Heng Seafood BBQ and enjoy your BBQ by the sea. Stall No. 6, East Coast Lagoon Food Centre, East Coast Lagoon Road.


8. Fried Hokkien Mee
tian Tian Lai (Come Daily) is practically an institution, and deserves its hype. Come to Block 127 Toa Payoh Lorong 1 #02-27, tel +65 6251 8542.

9. Rojak
   HK-Hollywood superstar Chow Yun Fat is a fan of Balestier Road Hoover Rojak. The rojak       here has jellyfish instead of cured cuttlefish. Block 90 Whampoa Drive, #01-06 Whampoa Drive Food Centre.


10. Bak kwa (Snack)
      Lim Chee Guan at 203 New Bridge Road, tel +65 6227 8302. Or try Bee Cheng Hiang’s spicy pork at its 28 outlets islandwide.


OK.. within 4 months, I ll try to cover all those places that is mentioned here... let's wait and see. :)

Going to Thailand!!

To enter a country having state of emergency??

Why not?

Very excited to go to thailand. Very excited to try the food out there and to update my blog with lots of interesting pics.

Hi Everyone, I wont be able to update for two weeks. Dont miss me cuz I ll be enjoying myself there watching the red shirt protesters. hehe...

There are good points and bad points going to thailand at this time around.

I might not be able to enjoy the water festival...(hopefully not kana splashed by a bucketful of blood).
Their tourism business goes down , up to 10 percent. How does that sound to u? To me, it means cheaper hotel fare, fewer crowd and cleaner enviroment.

I heard another unconfirmed news that there is Tsunami alert for thailand after Indonesia earthquake. Indonesia got earthquake mae???? I didnt even notice and couldnt find any related news.

Whatever happens......I AM SOOO GOINGGGGGGGG.....

Just that I dont want my mom to worry too much about me....
